Best Tools to Analyze Competitor App Ads and Creators (Oct 2026)
Most app intelligence tools were built to estimate downloads and track keywords. Fewer show the ads competitors run and the creators who post about them. Here is how six tools compare on that job, including where each is the better pick. We make Appleak, and it is listed first.
By Appleak · 18 Oct 2026
In short
- Appleak, AppKittie and Peekly are the three whose own sites describe both competitor ads and creators or UGC.
- Appfigures and AppTweak cover Apple Ads. Sensor Tower has ad intelligence at enterprise depth, on a custom yearly contract.
- Appleak is built around asking a question and also reads the reviews; it has no ASO keyword tool, which AppKittie and Peekly both have.
Why most app intelligence tools miss ads and creators
App intelligence began with the stores: ranks, ratings, keyword positions, and estimates of downloads and revenue. Ads live somewhere else, in Meta’s, TikTok’s, Google’s and Apple’s own ad registers, and creators live on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube.
Joining the two is hard. An ad runs under a company’s Page, not the app’s name; resellers advertise the same app; a creator’s video may never name the app it shows. Tools that do this have to match each ad and video to the right app, and say when the match is uncertain.
What to look for in a tool
- Which ad sources it reads: Meta, TikTok, Google, Apple.
- Whether each ad is matched to the right app, and how it tells you when it is not sure.
- How long each ad has run, and how many versions share its idea.
- Creators shown with the posts that make them fit, not only follower counts.
- Organic UGC with views, matched to apps.
- Reviews, so you can see whether what the ads promise is what users get.
- A price you can pay online, and a way to try it first.
